Hello Everyone! Sorry we haven't posted anything in a while....we have been so busy, but the good news is we have been making cupcakes!
The latest recipe was called Top Hat Cupcakes...it is basically just a vanilla cupcake with meringue drizzled with melted chocolate on top. These cupcakes were quite amazing!
When we started we knew we were going to love them...and we did! The only problem was that we used unsweetened chocolate instead of semi sweet chocolate on accident. Other than that they were very good!
So we give these cupcakes a 7 because of the chocolate. 4 recipes down 63 more to go!

Cupcake Adventure #3
Hello Everyone!
We are so sorry that we haven't updated the blog in a while. Today we made Strawberry Shortcake cupcakes. When we first read the recipe we couldn't wait to start baking.... all of the ingredients looked very good except for one... Balsamic Vinegar for the strawberries.
As we started baking we realized there was absolutely no butter, which makes sense for the shortcake part. We dipped our fingers in the batter, but it was very floury. There was more than enough than the yield, which was 12 cupcakes, so we but the rest of the batter in 2 two mini cupcake pans. We put the cupcakes in the oven and waited for them to bake.
We shared a mini one as a taste tester, and honestly the taste was not at all satisfying, and had a little bit of an awkward texture. We assembled the cupcakes with three layers of whipped cream and strawberries. We gotta say they turned out amazing. The taste was very satisfying with all the parts together.
We gave it a rating of 10 out of 10. 3 recipes down 64 more to go.

Cupcake Adventure #2
Hello Everyone!
Today we made Maple Pecan Cupcakes that were truly out of this world! At first we thought they were going to be delicious. Little did we know that we were going to have some difficulties in process of making them.
Everyhting was going smoothly until we had to add the milk and dry ingredients. We accidentaly added the milk last which made it soupy. So while it was baking they had to stay in longer. While we were making the frosting we couldn't resist and had to try some, all we can say is that it was probably one of the best things we've ever put in our mouths!
After we frosted we tried it and they were sooo good. We could eat them all day. On a scale of 1 to 10 they were a 10!!! 2 recipes down 65 more to go!

Cupcake Adventure #1
Hello Everyone,
Our first cupcake recipe did not sound that appealing. The recipe was Ginger Orange Cupcakes with a Citrus Glaze. Fruit in cupcakes sometimes doesn't sound that good, but could still be good. That being said ginger just sounds flat out NASTY!
As we were making the cupcakes it smelled sooo good so it raised our hopes on a successful creation! Everything was going well until the Citrus Glaze. As it was bubbling on the stove it was not becoming thick at all. Not paying close attention we decided to add more powdered sugar like a couple tablespoons or so. Finally we took it off the heat and spooned it on to the cupcakes. All we could say was that they looked delicious!
Finally it was time to try them! The whole family gathered round and tried the cupcakes! One by one grins on their faces appeared and soon their were barely any left. Tomorrow we will be making maple pecan cupcakes! On a scale of 1 to 10 they were a 8! 1 down 66 more cupcake recipes to go!

Introduction!
Hello Everyone! We are Sami and Sammy and we are best friends who both love anything to do in the kitchen. Here is why we decided to do a blog, well we love to bake and cook, we saw the movie Julie& Julia and got inspired to make our own baking challenge. If you saw the movie or read the book then you know that Julie decided to cook her way through Julia Child's cookbook. Well we are doing the same, but we are baking our way through the cookbook called Cupcakes, Cupcakes, and more Cupcakes. There are 67 cupcake recipes to make from now until March 31, 2010. We hope we can acheive our goal in time!
